I digress, what the 350 Legend offers over the 357 Max is availability and affordability. Try finding a new or used 357Max revolver, rifle, or barrel. Now try finding factory loaded ammo to feed it. Now try finding a 350 Legend rifle, new starts about $450 and goes up to $1,500. Barrels I've found are $165-250 for the AR15.

Looking at the 350 winchester legend that was just anounced. If I'm correct this is the same thing as the .357 Max AR. Does a taper crimp hold heavy bullets just fine or are there setback issues. The reason I'm asking is as this headspaces on the case mouth a heavy roll crimp wouldn't work.

If you want a bolt action or AR15, or if your going to buy factory ammo, then 350 legend then 350 legend is it. In a single shot I would be happy with either. I have a contender pistol in 357 maximum and love it, but if the 350 legend had been available when I bought it I might have gone that route.
